Big Dog Tour

March 29, 2009

Jay Leno is only too happy to give a student of auto racing history who happens to share a love of automobiles a tour of his Big Dog Garage.

The jovial host of "The Tonight Show" played host to 2007 IndyCar Series champion Dario Franchitti, who was visiting Southern California to promote the 35th Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. The IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights debut on the temporary street course April 16-19.

With about 17,000 square feet of display and restoration space, Leno's collection spans 100 years of automotive history. But it isn't a museum. Leno often is spotted out for weekend rides in one of the cars or motorcycles.
