DIXON RAISES THE ROOF

SCOTT DIXON TEAMS UP WITH LOCAL TARGET VOLUNTEERS AND THE ENERGIZER BUNNY® TO “RAISE THE ROOF” ON TWIN CITIES HOMES WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

CONCORD, N.C. (May 3, 2012) - Target Chip Ganassi Racing IZOD IndyCar Series driver Scott Dixon and wife Emma Davies-Dixon flew to Minneapolis today to join Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and local Target volunteers and the 10-foot tall pink Energizer Bunny to help build new homes and revitalize existing homes in partnership with families in urgent need of improved housing.

Energizer is on a 13-city series of volunteer projects around the country with Habitat for Humanity, donating more than $350,000 and 1,000 volunteer hours working with local partners in each community, like Target. The Twin Cities was their fourth stop. Scott and Emma joined volunteers in repairing two homes damaged by last spring’s North Minneapolis tornado.

Joining the Dixon’s on the project were local volunteers from Target. Target team members donate hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours to community projects across the country. In 2011, Target team members donated more than 474,500 volunteer hours to thousands of community projects across the country. The company is on track, by the end of 2015, to reach its goal of 700,000 volunteer hours per year.
