IndyCar Driver Scott Dixon is Looking Forward to Doing 'Dega

Scott Dixon is looking forward to his first time in a NASCAR Sprint Cup car at Talladega Superspeedway on Wednesday when he and fellow Ganassi driver Jamie McMurray swap rides.
McMurray will drive Dixon's Indy car at Barber Motorsports Park and Dixon will drive the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Chevy at Talladega.
"Jamie's got his work cut out for him. It'll be cold," Dixon said Sunday during IndyCar's Media Day at Barber Motorsports Park. he was referring to Wednesday's weather forecast and the Indy car's open cockpit. "My side of it is going to be easier."
Dixon said he expects Talladega to be an "eyes wide open" experience, but he also has some advice for McMurray.
"Take it easy, especially being my car," he joked. "I asked if they could use the 10 car (of Ganassi teammate Dario Franchitti) and they said no."
Franchitti, whose last experience at Talladega involved a trip to the hospital after he was T-boned during a NASCAR Nationwide race by Larry Gunselman, doesn't envy Dixon's chance to drive there.
"I've done that," Franchitti said. "I can think of a lot more exciting tracks to do it at, as long as Larry Gunselman is not on the track."
