Details of the Day
· Kyle Larson, who will be racing tomorrow at 1:00 PM ET in the ARCA Pocono 200, had the fastest car during today’s ARCA practice session and qualified on the pole in the No. 4 Cartwheel by Target Chevrolet Impala
· Jamie McMurray will take part in Pocono Raceway’s kid-focused question-and-answer session at the seventh annual Bowlopolis Kids Day, Saturday, June 7
Chris Heroy, No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS: “We have some work to do with the Target Chevy, but we made some progress in both race and qualifying trim. We managed to pick-up some speed on every qualifying, run but came in 14th, missing the transfer to the final round by .014 seconds (14 one-thousandths). Tonight we'll go over our notes from today's practice and last month’s test to get the Target Chevy ready for a good race on Sunday.”
Keith Rodden, No. 1 Cushman Chevrolet SS: “We had a good day with the Cushman Chevy SS. Our car was good in race-trim during the first practice today and also showed good speed in qualifying trim too. Unfortunately we got slowed down on both of our qualifying attempts trying to get around slower cars in the tunnel turn (turn two). We just weren’t able to make a clean pass to post a speed to transfer into the final round. We still have good car for the race on Sunday.”
NSCS teams will have two practices tomorrow in preparation for the Pocono 400 from 9-10 a.m. ET and 11:30-12:20 p.m. ET. Both practice sessions will be covered live on FOX Sports 1.
