GANASSI 25 DAYS OF MAY
On May 1 Chip Ganassi Racing Teams (CGRT) will kick off the “Ganassi 25 Days of May” Twitter campaign to promote the team’s rich 25-year history. Each day, a CGRT trivia question will be tweeted to race fans where they will have the opportunity to correctly answer the question for a chance to win unique team prizes. This contest will run in conjunction with motorsports’ most prominent month of the year. The contest will conclude on the Sunday, May 25 of Memorial Day weekend, which is widely considered as racing’s biggest day of the year with the running of the Indianapolis 500 (IndyCar), the Coca-Cola 600 (NASCAR) and the Monaco Grand Prix (F1).
CGRT began celebrating their 25th year as a company and their 25-year partnership with Target with the start of the 2014 season. CGRT, which began as Target Chip Ganassi Racing in 1990, is recognized as one of the most successful teams in the motorsports industry. Beginning with their first win in 1994 at Surfers Paradise, Australia, the organization has compiled historic victories in some of the most iconic races around the globe. CGRT has claimed five wins in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, four Indianapolis 500s, a Daytona 500, a Brickyard 400 victory and earlier this year added a victory in the prestigious 12 Hours of Sebring. In total CGRT has claimed 17 series championships and more than 150 race victories.
